REVERSE OSMOSIS

Q. How does a Reverse Osmosis Unit work?
A. Reverse Osmosis (R.O.), is a process in which water is forced through a semipermeable membrane. Openings in the membrane are small enough to hold back most dissolved minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, flouride and chloride. The process is relatively new for home use and has become widely available since about 1980.
Q. How much water does the R.O. unit produce each day? Reverse Osmosis
A. The standard unit we sell at Scheopner's is rated at 25gpd (gallons per day). A 45gpd unit is also available. Booster pumps can also be added to increase the output of either.
Q. Can an R.O. unit be ran to the water in my refrigerator?
A. Yes it can. It can even be hooked up to ice makers. So you have good clear ice all the time.
Q. Where will the Reverse Osmosis unit be located?
A.The units are usually installed under the kitchen sink, but they can also be placed in the garage, basement or crawl space if the rooms are located close to the kitchen. There will be a spcial faucet placed at your sink. We have many styles and colors available.
Q. Which brand of R.O. unit does Scheopner's sell?
A. Scheopner's has chosen the highest quality R.O. available. The Hydrotech Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System combines mechanical filtration with reverse osmosis technology for effective water treatment in point-of-use applications. The system is manufactured using the finest materials available, including National Sanitation Foundation approved plastics. The system is 100% tested and sanitized in preparation for shipment. Hydrotech drinking water systems are equipped with a patented Smartap Monitor which compares the feed water to the product water to determine membrane performance. The Smartap Monitor reports the results by illuminating colored lights. The Smartap push button monitor is activated at the touch of a button. The integrity of this proven, leading edge technology provides the customer with consistent, reliable system performance.
Q. How much does an R.O. unit cost?
A. An R.O. unit from Scheopner's Water rents for only $19.25* a month. With a $50.00* installation charge. The cost of a yearly filter change is included in this cost. If you are interested in buying a unit, you can do so for only $599.00* or lease to own for $28.76* for 24 months. Once you buy an R.O. system, the filters will need to be changed yearly at a cost of $49.50-$99.50*. As with all of our units, you can also rent with an option to buy. Start out renting the unit and for one year get 100% of your rent back towards the purchase of the unit.

*Prices subject to change
